The Joy of Being a Dad: 'On Call' Phrases

One of them is most certainly called 'Assembly Required'. Ha ha! We respond to the call with tools in hand and demanding a clear space on the living room floor. I love it! It warms my heart and gives me an instant audience--my 5 year old daughter Shayla--who is way more than eager to hand me screws and such when I need them. Awesome and Fun!

Shayla's First Big Puzzle (350pcs.) Completion!

Well, yes, her mother and I helped. :)
It was fun because she totally gets it--the process. At 5 y.o. she gets it.

Shayla decided that she wants to seal it with adhesive so that she can have it on her wall in her room. Thanks Ellen (Dabose)! She's loving her puzzles.

Our Little Lovely Comes Back Today...

Our daughter comes back to us today from her visit in Houston with her Nana, Risa, and her cousins Garrett and Connor. Her mom and I are here eagerly awaiting for her and Nana to arrive. These 5 days went by fast, but her mother and I are eager for our daughter's return. We have discovered that we quickly digress into questioning our purpose in life without her around. Haha. Come on back baby girl. :)

Shayla Goes to Visit Nana and Risa for 5 Days: Yeehah! You Go Girl!

Shayla is going to spend a little time with Nana and Risa in Houston this week. They're going to do a lot of fun things, which have mostly so far been kept secret. Have fun baby girl. What are we going to do with such a quiet house while she's gone?? Maybe we should record the sound of it so that we can play it back to ourselves later. Haha. Seriously, we'll definitely cherish it. :)
